Underwrite Before Excitement
The numbers should make sense before the story becomes interesting.
Longhorn Capital Group is a real estate acquisition and investor relationship company focused on sourcing, evaluating and connecting select opportunities with investors whose criteria make those opportunities relevant.
Longhorn Capital Group was built around a simple observation: investors often spend more time searching for opportunities than evaluating the ones that truly fit.
Our role is to work on the front end of the acquisition process. We research markets, develop property-owner relationships, evaluate opportunities and learn the criteria of the investors in our network.
That allows us to approach deal flow differently. Rather than sending every property to every investor, we want to understand who may actually be a fit before an opportunity reaches an inbox.
Every investor sees opportunity differently. One may want cosmetic residential rehabs. Another may want stabilized rentals, multifamily, land, development or special situations.
Before we can determine whether an opportunity deserves your attention, we need to understand how you invest. That means learning more than a preferred ZIP code.
Our objective is to know enough about your strategy that Longhorn can become useful before a property ever reaches you.
Tell Us How You Invest →Longhorn is built around a few simple ideas that guide how we evaluate opportunities and how we want to work with investors.
The numbers should make sense before the story becomes interesting.
Margin of safety matters more than optimistic assumptions about what might happen.
More opportunities are not automatically better. Relevance and fit matter.
Investors should understand the opportunity, the structure and the material risks.
Longhorn Capital Group reflects Mike's belief that real estate investing should be approached with discipline, clarity and respect for the people involved.
A Colorado native, Mike brings more than 36 years of experience across real estate, business development, operations, sales, leadership and profitability.
He has previously built and managed a substantial real estate portfolio for partners, giving him firsthand experience with acquisitions, growth, market cycles and the importance of understanding downside risk.
That perspective shapes Longhorn today: learn the investor, understand the opportunity, evaluate the numbers and build relationships that can survive more than one transaction.
Longhorn does not exist to compete with the investors in our network. Our role is to research, evaluate, build relationships and help surface opportunities that may fit. We want investors spending more time deciding whether a good opportunity deserves capital and less time sorting through noise.
The standard is simple: clear communication, thoughtful evaluation and respect for your time.
